I’ve been a patient of Dr. Messing for 14 years and have consistently received excellent care. He is extremely knowledgeable, takes the time to listen, and truly specializes in TMJ and jaw pain. I always feel confident and well cared for at every visit. Highly recommend.

Similar, ridiculous experience as a below review. Brief but expensive out of network consultation that office refuses to provide bill for to submit to insurance. Was also difficult to receive insurance form to submit to preauthorize their recommended mouthguard which they charge $2600 for. When form was finally received I had to complete and mail in myself to an address in Arkansas unlike other offices I've seen handle this themselves. All attempts to followup for update have been ignored.

After 6 months and $3500, I feel worse off than when I started. I was referred to Dr. Messing by who I thought was a reputable orthodontist, so I’m embarrassed to say I paid up front for treatment without doing any research. First, there’s no objective measure for improvement, so all you can go by is your symptoms. Mine worsened over the treatment period, but Messing insisted I was better. Well.. the increased clicking in my jaw, the tension, distortion, & asymmetry in my face, and the unsettling feeling of not being able to find my bite all say I made a huge mistake. Do yourself a favor and seek treatment elsewhere.

I never leave reviews so that says a lot... If I could leave no stars I would... $595 out of pocket and my appointment was almost 2 months ago. I was told that the receptionist would help submit the receipt to insurance as well as mail it to me, neither of which happened. The actual doctor himself was fine he was nice and super informative but the reception does nothing to help whatsoever. I then had to submit a claim to insurance myself, which is fine been there done that except the receipt did not have anything I needed on it. I then called multiple times and had to leave a voicemail asking for everything to be emailed and for no call back. Instead, I was called on a blocked number which is super unprofessional and now I am being told by insurance that I will not be getting the mone

Money making scam.... Require payment up front for all appointments in your diagnostic plan, and then cannot accommodate scheduling. They don't return calls, excuses for no appointment times, rarely answer phone, and expect you to chase them down for treatment. Proceed with caution.
