EmergeOrtho: Ashraf F. Guirgues, MD, FAAOS

I went to Dr. Guirgues for a second opinion today.. I was amazed at the difference between the two surgeons. He treated me with respect by listening and answering all questions. He was much more informative and specific about the problems in my neck. He discussed with me in detail the surgery that is needed and the recovery afterwards. It was obvious to me that he is very knowledgeable. Though I do not look forward to surgery, I am so glad to have found Dr. Guirgues. I left there knowing that surgery is not just a job for him. He showed a genuine care and concern for the problem I am facing with my neck. Thank you Dr. Guirgues.

I like Dr. Guirgues but do not like the EmergeOrtho office practice I was in Wilmington and had great difficulty in effort to get my problem resolved. I finally was able to see Dr. Rose and he understood my problem but I was moving to Morehead City so He referred to me Dr. Guirgues It was very Difficult to see him told me I had to see PA first, 1 appt Cancelled, another was not kept, 3rd appt was in Jacksonville and PA told me I needed to see surgeon not PA and she referred me to Person who was able to get me appt with Dr. Guirgues. The day before my appointment, I received a call asking if I had completed My 8 week PT which had never been mentioned. I finally convinced her that I needed a consultation with surgeon and that Dr. Rose Had referred me. I finally was able to see Dr. Guirgues a

Doctor Guirgues is an amazing doctor. He explains everything so you can understand what procedures should be done and all your options beforehand. I was not sure about having surgery after reading reviews on this type of procedure but my family and close friends thought it was my best option. I was in excruciating pain for six months following tumble on a water slide while on vacation. It was like electrical shocks all through my Sciatic nerve. Dr. G. performed my Microdiscectomy five weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with this decision. It is extremely important to follow Dr. G'S instructions to the T. Post surgery instructions and Physical therapy is extremely important. I recommend Dr. ASHRAF Guirgues to anyone thinking about procedures to the Spine.

Dr G. Has been most helpful to me over several years of continuing bad problems. He is a doctor a doctor I have complete faith in and I would highly recommend him to anyone that has spinal issues.
