Wellstar Gastroenterology

I have been a patient of Wellstar and received care with doctors in their system for decades, my PCP, cardiologist and other specialties. I saw Thelisha Glover at this location and it was the worst experience I've had in my lifetime. The visit was very rushed, she dismissed my numerous concerns which lead to a missed delayed/diagnosis. She has an air of self importance and that was off putting. The note of my visit was inaccurate about the details of my visit which I found disturbing. I had a follow up with an MD in the office and received better care.

Another update: :(. Thoughtout this whole entire process i honestly feel Medically Neglected!!!! H.pylori is a very invasive bacteria and my system was very resistant to the medication. I’m trying to retest for it and it’s been very difficult dealing with unprofessionals that are not Passionate at their career. I was just in a horrible car accident 3 days ago and on top of this trying to successfully cure H.pylori that has made a home into my system. I have lost so much weight almost 15 pounds. I’ve been nothing but respectable throughout this whole process and yes H.pylori is a very painful condition. I have 3 babies who I also have to get tested. It’s just been a difficult process for me and this clinic does not make my process any better and it sucks. I feel like they have become prejud

Blair, the PA I’ve been seeing at this office, works alongside Dr. LaFontaine. She is wonderful—I don’t know how to emphasize that enough! She’s kind, caring, exceptionally communicative, and she knows her stuff. She has also welcomed my input, which is important to me because I know my own body. I feel like I have a say in my own care, which is something I rarely experience in medical settings. So many doctors/PAs/nurses want to talk for you or at the very least talk over you, but Blair isn’t like that at all. She’s been consulting with not only Dr. LaFontaine but also with another doctor who has a lot of experience in treating patients like me. Was looking to schedule an appt with this office. I called during their open hours at different times of the day and was met with their voicemail. When the lady finally answered the phone, she asked if I left a message. When I told her I hadn't she put me on hold for OVER 15 mins and counting!! Unprofessional office!

I have been calling for days trying to get my procedure rescheduled. I have left several messages. No one has returned my call. I am very disappointed.
