WellCare Pharmacy

We (my wife really) drive from Central Gardens and pass a substantial number of pharmacies to get our prescriptions from Wellcare. It has just we need in these times of anonymity and isolation. They know who we are when we walk in. We check on how we’re all doing and catch up on news. It is rare to be treated as a whole human being in retail and service environments. That recognition translates into working—sometimes under very my frustrating circumstances—with prescribers to get the best outcomes for their clients. I also respect and admire their business hours. In my own business I encourage my clients to be human and take time for life, relationships, and community. This pharmacy will work with you to get you what you need at the best price they can. I cried when a competing pharmacy told me my meds were going to be $200 and $700 a month. Who can afford that?? I paid $30 and $60 here. They are always so kind and upfront about everything. I am so thankful for their help. As long as they're around, this will be my go-to pharmacy.

I’ve had mixed experiences at WellCare Pharmacy. My first visit was truly wonderful—the older ladies working there were incredibly sweet, compassionate, and informative. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel genuinely cared for, which is exactly what you hope for from a local pharmacy. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing. The employee named Don showed little interest in helping or explaining anything. His tone came across as aggravated during each interaction, both with me and my husband. It felt passive-aggressive and dismissive, which is disheartening when you’re trusting someone with your health and paying for their service. I recently switched over to this pharmacy after years of dealing with CVS, and I’m so glad I did. It’s run by the pharmacist Don and his wife I believe, and the difference in care is night and day. They are personable, friendly, and make you feel like more than just a number. When I called in with a prescription for an upper respiratory infection, the Don picked up right away, addressed me by name, and even asked how I was feeling. That small but genuine concern meant a lot. That’s something you just don’t usually get at the big chains. I feel like I can trust them with my health, and it’s clear they truly care about their patients. Highly recommend supporting this local business. Thank you guys!

Don and the staff at WellCare Pharmacy are so great. 10/10 recommend. Don helped me get my medicine for hundreds less than anywhere else I could have gotten it, by taking some extra time to help me.
