Warshauer & Santamaria Dental

Felt very predatory. Said I need a filling while showing me four month old x rays. I asked if we could take more up to date X-rays before deciding and Dr. Santamaria said X-rays are very difficult. At that point, I turned to the X-ray machine and said isn’t it right there. And she said okay we can push off the filling. Felt like they were taking advantage of me as a young student. Everytime I go there I am told that “I need” something that costs over 400$. I returned just for cleanings because they were pretty equivalent to the other dentists in the area. However last time I went they upped their prices for fillings - not telling me until after my appointment. When I said you should probably tell people that beforehand, the receptionist started complimenting me and it was just super weird

One star because they were unable or unwilling to help me remove just the top of a broken tooth and leave the rest for later implants... They basically told me no that they would not remove the broken shard that the whole tooth had to come out and that didn't work for my plans so I could not stay They might work for other people just not me

Dr. Santamaria is nothing short of impeccable, thoughtful, and courteous. I have never had a better dentist in my entire life. The quality of care that I receive at Warshauer & Santamaria is unparalleled. For as long as I live in the Boston area, I will only be seeing Dr. Santamaria. Not only is Dr. Santamaria wonderful, so are all of the staff members at the office. I am always greeted with a smile from the lovely front desk staff and never have to wait more than a few minutes for my appointment to begin. The dental hygienists are thorough and incredibly knowledgeable. I seriously cannot recommend this dental office enough. There is no better dentist in the greater Boston area than Dr. Santamaria.

If you read the negative reviews you'll get a more accurate idea of how this dentist operates. I went to my first and only appointment and the hygienist knocked out my lingual bar which has been solid for years. Upon leaving they immediately had some document telling me that the price was going to be $600 to replace it. They also wanted to charge me for a cavity filling but would not show me the cavity and did not at any point show me the x-rays that they had taken, which has never happened to me at a dentist before. I called them to talk about the price as it wasn't covered by insurance and it was their fault that the retainer was knocked out, and they gave me a discount after taking a few hours to talk about it.
