Walgreens

OMG.... the pharmacy staff at 3400 military Highway was beyond phenomenal. a genuine kindness and proactive effort to expeditiously fill my prescription less than an hour before they closed brought me back to the conduct of yesterday's people. I almost felt like there was a soda jerk and red bar stools where they served ice cream floats located in the building. it took them about 5 minutes to get it filled. I almost hated it didn't take them longer so I could have enjoyed their company longer.

I stopped in there today to get my prescription and pay cash. The total was $6.07 out of $10:00= $3:93 change. The clerk greeted me on what do you need? I asked the gentleman how are you doing and he replied to horrible. The gentleman had a hard time making change and when it came down to it, he gave me $1 dollar back. Then he gave me $3.75 where he owed me $3.93 and didn’t have the change in his drawer and he said is that OK and I kind of said no and he said well there’s nothing I can do about it. Not that $.13 is gonna break me, but that’s besides the point. Didn’t have a name tag on. And someone of his age should know basic math. I get if the younger generation doesn’t. Very unfortunate because I’ve been going to this particular location for five years and been going to Walgreens since

Absolutely atrocious pharmacy. Dropped off prescriptions for antibiotics for my postpartum wife who has an infection; they said it would be ready in about 3 hours. 3 hours later I pull up to the window and they tell me they could not fill my prescription because the doctor didn’t exist and the DEA NO was invalid. They misinterpreted the name of the doctor, and when I corrected them about the name, they still refused to run it again -correct THEIR issue- and refill the prescription. After a five minute call with the Walgreens off of 28 E. they figured it out and found the doctor in the Walgreens system. Shame on the pharmacy staff here for being lazy, not even giving a courtesy call about having trouble finding the Doctor and making my wife wait that much longer for antibiotics.

I am not sure how my one star review edited itself into a three star. You guys really should have a zero or negative choice for all us "reviewers". Walgreens would for sure have been a negative. I am almost 60 years old and I had used walgreens all my adult life, that's approximately 40 years. There were always problems of some sort, but nothing like the last one! Never ever has my address caused a problem, I live in Grant Parish Louisiana, no other choices. I'm getting older and of course that usually means an increase in medication. At the time this happened, I was waiting on a double lamenectomy on my neck, two elbow surgeries, both carpal tunnels and at least one on my lower back. Customer service isn't available in all areas of this pharmacy. If I can leave empty handed, then what exactly is the responsibilities of the employees here? Unprofessional, lacking in organizational communication and productivity.
