UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics - Hummelstown

UPMC continues to find new ways to fail as a healthcare provider. Every visit to this pediatrician’s office—whether you complete online check-in or not—you’re forced to go through the same front-desk prompts as if you’re a brand-new patient. After years in the system, answering the same repetitive questions every single visit is beyond inefficient. It honestly makes you wonder how encounters are being billed when nothing ever seems streamlined or updated on their end. Appointments routinely take far longer than scheduled. When you have a 4:45 appointment and aren’t seen until 5:15–5:30, it raises serious concerns about time management and accountability. Delays appear to be the norm, not the exception. Love the doctors - but have had lots of issues with billing. If you pay in cash, save your receipts for at least a year. Had an appointment in January and confirmed there was no outstanding balance only for a bill to show up months later. Since I had the receipt for the January visit, they claimed it was for an October visit instead and admitted that they just changed the date on the bill, without any proof. I did not have the receipt 5 months later to dispute it. This is not a one time issue being overcharged.

Dr. Natalie is AMAZING!!! our one daughter was terrified of giving blood, to the point of trying to escape the room. Dr. Natalie assisted Jeff in the lab with successfully drawing a sample for testing. We were loud and messy but Dr. Natalie and Jeff were calm, comforting and persisted with us through it all. And in the end, our daughter told us she didn’t actually feel a thing!!! 😂

Destiny at the front desk is amazing. So polite and respectful to my son and me. She helped him get his form and logged into patient portal. We had such a pleasant interaction with Destiny I needed to do a review

The best pediatrics in the area. Never have to wait for an appointment. We have been here over 10+ times. Never any issues. You can schedule same day appointments. Doctors & nurses are great as well. This office and staff is wonderful and would recommend to anyone in the area 🩷
