The Greens at Spruce Pine

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I strongly advise against placing any loved one in this facility. My 85 year old grandmother was admitted after hip surgery and experienced severe neglect. She was left immobile in bed for approximately three days, resulting in a pressure ulcer, and was not properly checked on during the first two days of her stay. On her first day, she was left lying in her own urine for over 12 hours until family arrived and provided basic care. Despite clearly stating she was uncomfortable receiving personal care from a male staff member, her wishes were ignored and a male continued to change her. The facility was very clean, the nurses and CNA’s were friendly, caring, knowledgeable and, Physical Therapy was centered and focused on each patient’s needs. A GREAT place for getting your strength back before going home. I most definitely recommend this facility for everyone who needs a step up to getting home!

My Mom is currently a patient at this facility in the rehab unit. We are so pleased with the care she is receiving. She is so happy here! The staff - admissions, PA, Nursing staff, MA- have all been amazing and so helpful and compassionate taking care of her. The facility is clean and staff are very supportive of family centered care. Recently had a loved one in the rehab. It was a great place. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The nursing staff was great. The CNA‘s were wonderful, willing to work with our Family checked on the patient very often. The facility was very clean and the physical therapist were willing to help in anyway would highly recommend. This place was very impressed.
