2\nBe clear.This one star review has nothing to do with professional vision or doctor shelton. This review has to do with the extremely rude receptionist that has worked there since I was a child. I have read several reviews on how rude she is.And how this issue is not being addressed by anybody. Good help is hard to find? What anybody else be willing to schedule without being ugly about it?; I am a hundred percent positive that if you hate your job that much , you should probably find a new one. I have been going to this practice for over 25 years and this woman has done nothing but get increasingly ugly. Not to mention in front of children and talking to fellow staff like they dont matter! Staff that were being kind and considerate and talking to us like we were people and not trash! Ah,

I called to see about scheduling an appointment. I was referred by Marion eye clinic bc they no longer take my insurance. I called and whoever does the scheduling is rude. Very shortly she said that it would be April or march before they could see me. I understand that bc it seems like the eye clinic are packed however before I could ask any questions in mid sentence she hangs up on me. I never leave reviews but I saw others have had the same experience with rude staff & I just could not believe she hung on me.

I've been seen by Dr. Shelton for 5 years and without a doubt I think she's the best in McDowell. She is attentive to my concerns about family history of retina detachment, through with my diabetes eye screening, and explains things very well, like the discovery of my blonde retinas. Her "bedside" manners are very elegant and makes you feel comfortable. I am more than happy with her being part of my personal health team. Her staff have always been courteous and prompt with my contact/glasses orders and appointment scheduling.

I have been going to Professional Vision for years! Dr Shelton and all her staff have always been welcoming and very professional. Dr Shelton is very thorough and takes the time to listen to any questions or concerns you may have. I look forward to seeing their new location next time I go back!

Just had my first visit with Dr. Shelton. She and her staff listened to all my concerns. Took their time to answer all of my questions. They even went out of their way to reach out to my insurance company (which is not a widely known company) before my appointment. Which made 1 less thing for me to have to worry about. I’m impressed and so glad to have found them. I will definitely be coming back for annual appointments. I can’t say enough good things.
