I want to start by saying that Carrie Hill, FNP, was wonderful. She was attentive, listened carefully, and worked collaboratively with me to create a treatment plan that included referrals and lab work. If this review were based solely on my experience with her, it would be five stars. Unfortunately, everything fell apart after my appointment. I was made to wait over an hour just to have my labs drawn. When the phlebotomist, Melissa, finally brought me back, she had a terrible attitude from the start, acting as though my lab order was an inconvenience rather than part of my prescribed care. She seemed to be actively looking for reasons not to complete the draw. What happened next is what concerns me the most. I had to switch doctors after 10 years of being with the same primary, Dr., in Kyle. I was nervous, and I asked several people. A lot of them recommended San Marcos Family Medicine. Today was my second visit to the office. I had to see a different nurse practitioner, but I can tell you that I’ve visited both offices, and from check-in to talking with the healthcare professional, and checking out. Everyone is truly friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly, patient and kind. I look forward to being their patient for a long time and it’s worth the drive from Kyle!

Really like the convenience of the walk in clinic. The staff is always very friendly and reminds people that are sick to wear masks. The quality of services provided are very high. Thanks for your help.

I recently moved to San Marcos and have been driving to Kyle since moving to see My doctor. I have been going to Austin regional clinic for over 25 years. However I decided to give San Marcos family medicine a try and I could not have made a better decision. Mary Hartman and her team are absolutely amazing. Every doctor that I have seen in the clinic is extremely professional and caring. The way going to the doctor’s office used to be. This is absolutely the best experience I’ve ever had as a patient in a medical office. I am so thankful and now no longer dread going to the doctor.

As always Dr Mangalek is great. Very knowledgeable, very professional, excellent at explaining his reasoning. Unfortunately the office staff has gotten worse, if that’s even possible. They have the communication skills and professionalism of a sack of potatoes. This two-day turnaround on the Klara portal as the only means of communication is bonkers. Not to mention the phlebotomist from LabCorp who couldn’t spell.
