Riverside Medical Center

This was my family's first experience with Riverside Hospital. My mom was admitted for pneumonia and several other issues. This is the best hospital she has been in over the last couple years! If we didnt know where something was, a staff member walked us to where we needed to be. The staff on 5th floor east was amazing! From the nurses, techs, drs and custodial staff, my mom was treated professionally and kindly. When she was transferred to 3rd floor MICU, treatment was top notch and a special recognition should be given to her nurse Kaitlyn! She took great care of my mom and was just so kind and nice to the rest of our family! We will definitely utilize Riverside if needed in the future. I have told many of my friends and family what a great experience we had.

During my pregnancy, I had went into the ER with horrible flank pain that had me in tears. They did an ultrasound with my history of kidney stones, and said they didnt see any stones and sent me on my way despite being in severe pain and also 35 weeks pregnant.. I left and was in deliberating pain. My husband drove me up to Prentice at Northwestern where they admitted me for a week because I had 3 kidney stones, and was currently passing one.. The night we came home after having our son, he was crying so bad, and this was before we knew he wasnt latching correctly therefore not getting much/any milk..The hospital didnt give us any pacifiers, and we couldnt find anywhere that was open to buy one. Being extremely desperate for help, I called labor and delivery/postpartum and asked if I could

These five stars are for Meg in the emergency room. Thank you for taking the time to talk to me and explain to me what I needed to no. You are God sent. At least you took the time to listen to me let me explain how other professionals told me what to do and that's why I was doing it unlike the other person there I talked to wanting to fuss and argue with me and then tell me I'm being combative. thank you Miss Lady you definitely have the right job definitely. Some people work in fields for the money. You are there for the love of the patient first and the money second I love that in you. The last three time over a year my husband by choice went to riverside ER to have emergency care! All three times he has had excellent care! A few weeks ago he was admitted to imcu for 12 days again excellent care!

I'd give this hospital 0 stars if possible. Especially do not go here for delivering a baby. Treated my wife and I terribly, acted as if I as the husband did not belong there. Won't allow you to see the doctor you want to see. Also after delivery the doctor refused to show up and release us, waiting for her next delivery. As if our time wasnt important at all, then treated my wife terribly when I was not in the room. Avoid this place like the plague
