River Run Animal Hospital

I initially needed urgent care services at River Run Animal Hospital for my 2 year old cat, Goose. The hospital had been recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. We were scheduled and in the examination room within an hour. Dr. Pickens and everyone I interacted with were amazing! I was so impressed with the high quality of care and genuineness of the staff I called back and scheduled a wellness visit. Goose had recently started spraying things. I had issues with this behavior previously as had Goose's previous owner (who returned him to the animal rescue she had adopted him from). Goose came with documents from 3 different animal clinics who had examined him for the local cat rescue. One document showed he had been neutered. Excellent and caring knowledgeable staff. This was and emergent visit an a referral from our regular veterinarian. I so appreciate the time the staff spent with me and my girl and the care she received. Each procedure was explained in detail to me. Dr Adwell was excellent in her care and knowledge of large breed dogs (Great Dane). She answered all my questions and was very gentle and kind to my girl which gave me confidence in her ability to care for my girl and gave us an overall excellent outcome.

For almost a month we were here every week with our girl Chelsea. The team was amazing in guiding us through this difficult time. They did everything they could to make sure she was comfortable and even though she was sick she was always happy to see them! My family is so grateful for everything your team did to help her.

River Run is an exceptional vet practice. The front desk staff is kind on the phone as well as in person. The techs are wonderful. We have a favorite vet but won’t say her name because I selfishly want her to be available when we need her! 😸 I drive the extra distance from Bon Air to go to River Run. Very compassionate and knowledgeable. They seem pricey but that’s the way it is now if you want the very best care for your pets. I believe there is an option to pay incrementally if you cannot afford to pay a high invoice. Thank you for being there on Sundays for emergencies!

We had our first visit today and I cannot stop telling people how wonderful everyone here is. We saw Dr. Froelich and Brian. They were patient, compassionate, caring and went out of their way to make us feel heard. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure our pets were comfortable every step of the way. I feel bad I cannot remember the name of the young lady who gave our puppy his vaccines, but she was amazing also. The front desk staff was friendly and personal as well. We highly recommend this practice!!
