I was there thinking my dog had pulled a muscle in her leg. Their sharp eye and irreplaceable knowledge spotted what no pet owner wants to hear. Yes, the absolute worse. So I melted down right there. If it wasn't for Dr. Lenher and Kristy? I dont think I would have made it through that day! No exaggeration! I hope I have the Tech or assistants name correct. She even called to make sure I got home from there safely. I was treated like a human being and like my dog and our connection mattered! Thats all any pet owner wants. Much love to this establishment and the people.

I have been coming here for over 8 years. The front staff is very friendly, I have had many good experiences with Ruth. She is very friendly and helpful. Fast waiting time always. The Dr’s are very friendly, they give you an estimate before services are rendered. I just in the past week had my fur baby there twice, this morning in fact. Dr. Mead was very compassionate as I am at end of life care for my 14 yo dachshund. She is very honest, but compassionate. I will continue to take my furbabies there.

The staff is so caring, Knowledgeable, and helpful! My sweet kitty received lots of love and care!!!!! The staff checked on my after surgery and made me feel at ease!

This is one of the nicest animal hospitals Jaxon and I have ever visited. So clean and fresh. Even more importantly, the staff was absolutely awesome! Very kind and eager to get to know my little furry guy. We were already familiar with Dr. El. She is just amazing in her honest and true approach to pet care. You know without a doubt that she really loves what she does, takes time to explain the various treatment options and steps towards ensuring your pet receives the most appropriate care. The staff is friendly, caring, and compassionate. Dr. Mead clearly cares for her patients and their family's. She is very direct in a good way letting you know what is going on with your pet, and giving you available options. I was there for 4 hours this past weekend with my Dear Lucy cat. They went ABOVE & BEYOND in so many ways to help our family hold on to our beloved Lucy. Unfortunately Lucy didn't make it, but the kindness and true compassion from the folks at Powhatan Animal Hospital was amazing! I think they were as broken hearted as we were in the end. One thing I know for sure is they did everything they could for her, and for our family! We are forever grateful for the staff and Doctors here. If you are looking for a Vet, look no further.
