Customer Reviews
My experience at Piedmont Walton was extremely pleasant, both the ER visit and also being hospitalized afterwards into the actual hospital. The entire staff was very attentive to all of my needs and medical concerns as a patient as soon as I arrived there. The hospital is also very clean and sanitized with all staff wearing masks. They're aren't enough words to express how much I was impressed at their thoroughness of this hospital lab and doctors. They kept running several test on me continuously to to try to determine what was going on with me. Right before they got ready to release me, they saw that my temperature was extremely high, so they didn't hesitate to admit me into the hospital for further testing and observation! important On July 26, 2026, I arrived at the Piedmont Walton Emergency Room for high blood pressure and a migraine. After triage, I was eventually escorted to a treatment room, where I sat for approximately 30 minutes while being evaluated. The first nurse, whom I will refer to as “Texas,” appeared openly inexperienced and was not supervised. She seemed unsure while attempting to locate a vein and repeatedly poked my arm. When the needle was finally inserted, blood flowed all over my arm. She left blood on my arm and in the surrounding area and never returned to clean it. She stated that she would wait for ultrasound assistance to start the IV (see attached photo). Several nurses entered and exited the room. While lying in the bed, I looked up and noticed what appeared to be urine hang
I was admitted on February 27 for chest pains and underwent many tests over the weekend. I later found out I was placed under “observation status,” which was confusing and frustrating since I was in a hospital bed receiving treatment the entire time. The nursing and tech staff were very good. Joanne (overnight nurse), Julie (my discharge-day nurse), and Mia (tech) were especially caring, attentive, and professional. My biggest concern was the lack of communication from the doctors. I wasn’t clearly informed about medication changes, test results, or my diagnosis. I only learned I had a gastrointestinal virus right before discharge, after believing all weekend that it was heart-related. Food service was also very disappointing. Meals were missing items more than once, and when I called,
The facility was very clean and comfortable. In the ED, Kelly and Soni were very professional and friendly. The care they delivered was great. After admission I had many tests and received excellent care from Juanna & Ashanta on the night shift. And I was very impressed by the virtual nurse during admission. Lexy was my day shift nurse. She exhibited caring and concern and washed her hands every time she came in & left the room (thank you for that). The Nurse Manager, Madison, was instrumental in facilitating my discharge. If I need hospitalization in the future I will return to Piedmont Walton.
I am writing to express how impressed I am with the OR nursing staff. Everyone was efficient, friendly, and maintained a great attitude throughout my visit. I particularly want to commend the nurse who inserted my IV. She was excellent and I did not feel a thing during the procedure! I visited twice for cataract surgery and I had the same high quality experience both times!
