Massachusetts General Hospital: Rheumatology

Tried to mislead me by saying arthritis pain, muscle pain, severe headaches, neck and facial pain, and many other symptoms are caused by depression. Completely unethical and immoral. I was not provided the proper treatment and now I might have a more serious condition. Cant believe I trusted these people with my health. Never again.

I might have lupus now because my illness wasn't taken seriously and they tried to blame arthritis pain, muscle pain, loss of strength, and other serious symptoms on depression. I am beyond disappointed. There is no reason to treat anyone like this

I've been a patient for over a year. I would love to give this five stars, but I can't. What I am finding is the need to constantly follow up due to inconsistent information; no follow up from the provider on the medications they are prescribing and the effects they have on your health, such as immune suppression, long term corticosteroids, etc. Everything is follow up with your PCP, we don't treat that - WE ONLY TREAT YOUR AUTOIMMUNE CONDITION, with no guidance on how these medications are going to affect you in the event of illness. It's just become exhausting, as well as frustrating.

Mass General Rheumatology should be ashamed of the way Dr's and other staff treat extremely sick patients. If you can't comply with their unreasonable ego driven requests, they will refuse to give you your arthritis medication. DR Flavia Castelino and Rosemarie McAuley RN should both be fired and have their licenses taken away forever. Your better off treating your arthritis holistically than letting these uninformed group of people pretend they are here to help people like us.
