There are virtually zero primary care doctors available. I have been searching for five years now. They refer you but always to another place which tells you- guess what? that there are no doctors available. It's disgusting. Is this a hospital? its really more like a private practice. Same with Brigham and Woman's.

Can't find the exact department but probably for the exact reason I'm typing this as many others. Medical gaslighting, obsolete Medical knowledge, discrimination, gatekeeping. Not at all living up to stated values. Refusal to listen and acknowledge, blames symptoms on other things. Hey, maybe I got exactly what i asked for in a roundabout way 🏢🥰😁

Beware, MGH has no primary care doctors available. The website it maintains that lists potentially dozens of PCPs-- that is not accurate. They will tell you so when you call the office that the website itself sends you to.

Signed up as a new patient weeks ago and have called every week sat on hold for close to 40 minutes each time and been told "We're all booked up and have no available physicians I suggest you check again next week". I made a long list of PCP's at multiple locations that say "accepting new patients". And the representative on the phone won't even check. "Nope no one is available at any location". How can that be? no appointment for the rest of the year or next year? What are new patients suppose to do? Extremely frustrating should've told me while registering that they had no one so I could save some time and effort.

Do not go the MGH if you need psych inpatient support! My nephew went to MGH on July 3rd 2018 around 8 pm. They kept him in the emergency room area until July 5th at 4 pm. He had to sleep in a chair in a psych waiting area the first night. On July 5th they transferred him to a horrible facility called HRI. We begged MGH to release him to our care and they refused. DO NOT GET ADMITTED TO MGH. If they do not have a psych bed, you will be dumped at HRI. Once admitted at MGH, most hospitals will not accept MGH patients. McLean (for example) would not do a lateral transfer. Ask MGH if they have psych beds before getting admitted. Do not get admitted if they have no psych beds. Go to another hospital.
