Massachusetts General Hospital-Internal Medicine Associates

I am writing this review to warn others that MGH Fruit Street Internal Medicine Associates' "Urgent Care" is not an authorized urgent care facility under health insurance policies, despite what IMA claims. They are misusing the term "urgent care" to mislead and overcharge patients. This is what happened to me: Despite having PPO Plus insurance—with a $25 out-of-pocket cost for urgent care visits—my January visit to IMA Fruit Street (because my PCP was unavailable) ended up costing me $400 out-of-pocket. The Internal Medicine department billed the appointment as a hospital visit instead of a professional urgent care visit. They also gave me some good advice on what medications would be best for my condition, which saved money in the long run because their prices are reasonable too--friendly service from beginning to end makes this an awesome neighborhood pharmacy

Been using Internal Medicine Associates for years. Everyone I’ve interacted with—doctors, PAs, nurses and admin staff—has been caring, attentive and professional.

Best hospital, best doctors, great location with satellite locations, affiliated with Massachusetts Eye Ear Nose and Throat which is right next door to the Boston location. Valet parking at both buildings and T is just a block or so away.

Illegally charges for PrEP-related visits and labs which should be free under the Affordable Care Act. Stay away.
