Havencare at Valerie Manor

The staff took great care of my mom after her stroke in 2015. Very caring and gentle. They provided a safe and loving environment for me to visit her, and a safe and loving environment for mom to be in after her stroke.

What a great first impression. Patty in Admissions made us feel welcome giving us a tour and introducing us to staff. The staff that we have met from Carol, Administrator to Melissa and Jake have been very supportive and made sure they took the time to orient us to the facility and daily routine. This put our family at ease. It has been a difficult transition for all of us but the staff made us feel more comfortable.

The people and the place is a class act. Compassion and caring from the staff has always been evident on all my visits. Our family has always been informed of changes . Valerie Manor is a diamond located in Torrington

I have asked for food for my mother, they don't come. I ask for help to bring my mother to the bathroom, they don't come. My mother has fallen several times because she has to go to the bathroom. She has urinated in her pants and has sat in it because they don't come. I am very disappointed in this place. I heard good things about Valerie Manor so this is where I wanted my mother to be. I am very sad at this point. My mother has now been admitted to the hospital after staying in Valorie Manor. Due to their horrible care.

Visited my sister on 12/26/21, completely understaffed and rooms not clean. We had to feed my sister both lunch and dinner and take her to the restroom. Her roommate was not fed lunch until 2 pm and was still in bed. The nurses and staff are really good but they can only do so much. Very concerned they will lose the good help they have. They welcome and appreciate you reaching out. I did that before taking to google review. The director does not even state his name in voice mail and never returned my call. This is not the first time not receiving a response.
