I was referred to him because he’s supposed to be a specialist. I am pregnant, struggling with a severe allergy no one has been able to figure out, so my OB sent me to him. Unfortunately, his approach felt robotic—he only ran the standard allergy tests as if it were a checklist, and anything beyond that seemed outside his scope. He didn’t even examine my lesions. His “solution”? That I stay on Prednisone—a strong drug that suppresses the immune system and comes with a long list of serious side effects—for the rest of my pregnancy, meaning four more months! Even worse, he suggested I stop taking my prenatal vitamins, including folic acid. Seriously? He also mentioned prescribing an ointment. Dr Bonilla is consistently compassionate and interested in helping my child, even when obvious treatment options are not available. He thinks outside the box and puts effort into creating a plan for my child’s care. We truly appreciate his help.

Pleasant initial visit with Dr. Bonilla. He was both attentive and approachable, which made what can be an anxiety provoking experience, going to the doctor, (following up with a rare condition) a smooth, professional experience.

The entire staff was outstanding. Dr. Bonilla was nice and I felt very comfortable.
