Elderwood of Lakeside at Brockport

I strongly caution anyone considering this facility for long-term care. If you do **not** have a family member who can stay constantly involved, closely monitor care, and aggressively advocate, your loved one will be in serious trouble. This facility is **severely understaffed on a regular basis**. When staffing concerns are raised, families are repeatedly given the same explanations and excuses, yet nothing changes. The lack of adequate staff directly impacts the quality and safety of resident care. There are **serious systemic issues from upper management down**, and it shows in daily operations, communication, and follow-through. This is not a place where residents receive consistent, attentive, or proactive care without constant outside oversight. Long-term care should never require

My 96 year old grandmother has been to 3 different rehab facilities in Monroe County in the last 2 years for different reasons. She was recently admitted to Elderwood @ Brockport after a long hospital visit. The staff has been absolutely wonderful, caring and attentive. This has been the best facility we have experienced and I am so happy she is in such good care. While there may be many negative reviews, I can say from experience that all facilities are understaffed, that has been our experience as well. However, the staff makes all the difference and we are very pleased so far.

Refused to give my father in law meds left him sitting in a diaper. He stayed two days and we brought him home because of subpar care. If you ask him he'll say if you're ready to do go there because there patient care is horrible

Do not go here for rehab. They are understaffed and because of this the staff they have have an attitude. You buzz for assistance to the bathroom and you wait for half an hour to 45 min. Night nurse is rude and slow. Nedications are not given on timely manner. Two nurses per floor. Nothing good to say about the place. The PT and OT I received was adequate. Went home for the remainder of rehab but they were delayed in setting up my home care also. Do not go here with your loved one. They always seem to have an opening cause of their poor care.

Do Not i repeat Do Not send your loves ones to this place. Sent my dad there for rehab. Lets just say i took him out on day 2. No help to bathroom. Left him with a dirty diaper overnight. It wasnt worth it. I understand help is an issue but come on.
