Edward Parelhoff

Very impressed! My 6 year old daughter (who really doesn’t like going to the doctor) had her first eye exam today with Dr. Parelhoff and as we left she said, Mommy, he was really nice! I wish he was a “regular doctor” (pediatrician) So I could see him for my shots and things too! His staff was very pleasant and he was truly amazing with my daughter. He made her feel comfortable and was very good at explaining things to her and myself.

I've been taking my daughter to Dr. Parelhoff for several years now, and I must express my disappointment with our consistent experience during each visit. Unfortunately, our encounters with Dr. Parelhoff have been consistently marred by his discourteous behavior and unwarranted comments. During every appointment, whether directed toward me or my daughter, he never fails to make snide remarks that are both rude and condescending. It's incredibly disheartening to feel disrespected and belittled in a professional setting, especially when seeking medical care. His demeanor and approach significantly detract from the overall experience and, more importantly, affect the trust and comfort essential in a doctor-patient relationship. Extremely happy with Dr. Parelhoff and his office. We have seen a number of eye specialists over the years (3 glass-wearers in the household), but none impressed as knowledgeable and caring enough for us to come back next time. Finally we have found an eye doctor we want to stick with. Excellent bedside manners, extensive knowledge and experience, and truly caring.

We have seen our share of Opthalmologists over the years. We found Dr. Parelhoff about 2 years ago. I'm convinced he's the best in the state. We drive over an hour to see him for our kids. His bedside manner is superb. My kids love going to see him. He did a correction surgery on our two little ones last year, and the results were great. We couldn't be more confident in his work, advice, and devotion to our kids vision. He really is one of the best!

My 8 year old had never been diagnosed with eye problems till a year ago and never could get glasses that helped her see better. She was always given a pair that was okay but not proper prescription. Turns out she has a very rare eye condition she was born with and was never able to see properly therefore she doesn't know what seeing 20/20 is. Parelhoff was amazing at diagnosiing and correcting the problem unlike the other 5 drs we had been to. Well with the drive and wait. Will never switch to another.
