Dr. Steenkamp is an incredible doctor. Not only is he super knowledgeable but he also cares deeply for his patients. Him and his team will go above and beyond to get you what you need. He is super responsive and helped me so much in the beginning when I was nervous and overwhelmed with all that was to learn about the condition. I believe it also helps quite a bit that he has family members with the condition, so he understands the struggles more deeply than other doctors. In my opinion, he's the best of the best. I moved and I will be traveling from NY to continue care with him.
I've been a patient of Dr Steenkamp for a few years now and I must say he is the go to diabetes doctor in town!! He attentive, caring and a great listener.
