Apparently, actual dermatological knowledge is optional here. My aunt has been visiting for nearly a year or more with a persistent skin issue, only to be seen by resident doctors who seem to be in training—at best. “Dr.” N. Afzal, in particular, prescribed something completely ineffective, and the condition remained unchanged. Out of desperation, we saw a dermatologist in Virginia while she came to visit, who quickly diagnosed the issue and prescribed something that actually worked. When my aunt brought this up during a follow-up, not only was Dr. Afzal still unable to identify the condition, but she also ignored the effective treatment and prescribed yet another medication. Impressive.
don’t reply to my chart messages. they are booked months in advance and when i went there for the first time it seemed like everyone checking in was arguing with the front desk lol… don’t know what’s going on there..
Just impossible to talk to someone to clarify questions ahead of time. Vague in mychart and they don’t have direct numbers . So you calk them and they relay message to clinic. Then the clinic may call back from a number that doesn’t ring. Then you call them back. They relay it to the clinic and so forth forever and no one talks to anyone. This system obviously doesn’t work. They should direct call back numbers or use a phone number that isn’t an auto number.
At the end of my first visit, the doctor told me to go to the front desk to schedule my next visit. I did so but the lady told me that someone would call me in a couple of days. It has been a month and I have yet to receive a call back. I've called several times during that period to schedule it myself but was unable to do so. I've had some bad doctor's office experience in the past but this has to the worst.
Called for an appt. with alopecia Clinic. Was told I must have referral from PC. before scheduling an appt. even though I have Medex coverage which doesn't require referral. Referral was sent and received a call today advising no appt available and don't know when they will ever have an opening. Why didn't they just tell me no appts. Very bad medical service and patient care. No excuse for treatment received. Why demand referral when you already know no appts. available.
