CityMD Ozone Park Urgent Care - Queens

I recently visited this urgent care, and I was genuinely impressed with the level of care I received. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was welcoming, professional, and efficient. The check-in process was smooth, and I didn’t have to wait long before being seen. The medical team was attentive and compassionate. The provider took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, asked thoughtful questions, and clearly explained the diagnosis and treatment plan. I never felt rushed, and they made sure all of my questions were answered before I left. The assistant Jenny I think was her name was great! The Doctor was a rude and dismissive. Made me feel stupid for going in, said the rapid tests for strep and Covid they have are normally accurate and he’s only seen cultures come back the opposite of rapids like 2/3 times.. but I’ve been alive long enough to know that I’m not having a regular cold. I’m not going to waste my time or money going to urgent care for a reg “cold” I also just told him that 3 ppl in my family had strep and I know that requires antibiotics which is the only reason I went to urgent care. Turns out I did have what he said I “didn’t” have. So his rapids aren’t as “accurate” as he Thinks. I called a day later and asked if meds were possible because I was even worse the next day. I would like to see the possibility of asking for a refund, my brother went to a medical appointment here and they told him that it was gastritis, literally my brother came in and after 5 minutes they told him that it was gastritis, that same day we went to the hospital and my brother is hospitalized because he has kidney failure, it seems to me a negligence that they have unauthorized and incapable personnel who only prescribe medications without even taking the necessary studies. A total scam! Not to mention that they did not accept our insurance and we paid $225 for a 5-minute appointment

Not sure why these places exist! With the exception of the receptionist who was very nice and informative the rest of the staff was worthless. Went here for an injury at work bcuz my doctor was closed to only be given ibuprofen then to get a straight answer about anything was almost impossible. If you happen to get hurt and even worse hurt in front of that place drive to a hospital you'll have a better chance. This place should be closed down and reopen as something more worthwhile!

This place I’m not coming back here … service is sooooo bad been waiting for 4 hours and they taking peoples who came after me I don’t really know what is going on here 🤦🏽‍♀️ so disappointed even with my pregnancy so why is it call urgent care now
