Without the staff, I don't know where our family would be. It's so refreshing to be treated by people who actually care about the mental health and well-being of their patients. The family support is such a blessing. They even host a Mother's Day event where the mom's can relax and shop the racks of donated clothing, shoes, handbags and jewelry. I was even fortunate enough to have a massage at the event. The kids that come to the center are there to deal with the negative things in their lives and they are greeted with a positive atmosphere. Seeing the bright and joyful decorations and feeling the warmth of the staff you can't help but smile knowing you have finally found the place where your child can heal and grow. The center is truly a God send.

My recent experience with them was really unpleasant. They were incredibly unaccommodating and RUDE. I’m a single mom with3 kids working full time trying to get help and they had no empathy. For some reason they have to have intake in the morning no exceptions and I work mon- fri mornings and I am the sole provider so after trying to explain that and them not caring I had my mother bring my child. They sent me a text saying the appt was at 830am She was turned away, it has to be a parent. Okay fine. So I tried again and had to arrange something with my work so I can bring him. I rescheduled and They sent me a text the appointment was as at 9am. I come at 9am and they said nope can’t see you, you were suppose to come at 830 for paperwork. I said I have a text saying 9am …..there’s no way

Sadly, we have recently been discharged from the Child First program. The two interventionists that came to our home were both professional and warm and kind. They worked with our whole family adjusting their schedules to fit ours. We all felt as though they really cared about us. They were very helpful getting additional evaluations and services in place. If we had a question, they either had an answer or found one for us. Both interventionists were very supportive and saw our beautiful child as the bright and capable child he is, not a pain in the neck that is too loud and active. We will always be grateful for that. We will miss them terribly.

Worst experience I have ever had with my children ; the staff there are not helpful , very poor communication skills , the trauma therapist that was assigned for my 11 year old son was always bashful toward the parent, and DR.sahani the psychiatrist made it so difficult , he acted careless and had no interest in my sons sessions , wouldn’t even look my child in his face during his sessions. The place had purposely lied to me about signing me up for reminders through text , my chart and email for the appointment , I kept asking and asked them several times to sign me up for alerts and they refused to help me and did not do it , they tried to kick my son out of therapy because I was at blame for being 15 minutes late to appointments when the policy clearly states that the late time is a min

This is one of the only places in the Litchfield Hills area to offer child psychology services. In my experience, the counselors here are friendly, kind and compassionate. They have very flexible hours, and generally there's always available appointments with very little wait time. They offer a variety of psychological service's for local youth. This was an area of medicine that was woefully lacking in this region. I would highly recommend their services.
