Brigham and Women's Hospital, Heart and Vascular Center

My father went in for a triple bypass surgery which turned into a quadruple bypass. The whole experience was very overwhelming and terrifying. Heart issues were new to my family we didn't know anything to expect. I feel as tho the hospital did not do my family justice with educating the patient and their family with what we were actually facing. They down played it and told me my father would be home resting. My father never made it home, he never made it out of recovery. He made it into a coma they could not wake him from. I'm still reeling from the trauma. It wasn't until neuro came in and told us my father was basically brain dead that we had any idea that we were even facing my father not coming home. That was a huge wake up call. I feel that the hospital could have done a lot more to
