The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center phlebotomy lab, or blood lab, is discreetly tucked behind the information desk. Due to its location, most people have to ask where to find it… Like I did. But, locating it is just the beginning of the confusion… BIDMC has an online system for pre-registering, for the blood lab, to secure your place in line at a specific time. Unfortunately, most patients don’t seem to know this portal exists. This results in half the people, waiting in line, being preregistered and half not.
