Anderson Mill Center for Nursing and Healing

I was extremely apprehensive about going to see my father who.is currently receiving rehabilitation following a fall that broke his hip and caused him to have to receive emergency hip surgery...Now I have visited my share of places like this and to be perfectly honest have been horrified in every case. However this was different. From the moment I walked through the doors I was greeted with a smile that was real and a warmth I could feel. The visit with my dad lasted about 2 hours and I really hated to leave not only because of not wanting to leave my dad but also because the place had a definite comfortable warm and caring feel to it. I could go on and on about positive things I could say but the most impressive thing to me is that my dad is actually comfortable....and

I went to visit my great aunt and I must say it very pleasant. The staff was friendly and respectful. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the place seems to be dated. It also had an odor but I guess that's to be expected in a nursing home.

If you have a loved one do not and I repeat do not put them in this place. I was there for approximately 3 weeks. I got nothing out of it especially occupational. They are extremely short-handed rude basically they treat you like you are a piece of meat flipping you over when they are changing you. The therapy there was awful except for the lady that did do some of my physical therapy. Occupational was awful. I sat there waiting for my occupational therapist to work with me. She paid more attention laughing talking and cutting up with fellow employees. I left there no better than I was when I got there. The food is awful. Especially if you are in the rehab area. As a recommendation from Wellstar Cobb, I recently toured Anderson Mill Center for Nursing and Healing. I was truly impressed from start to finish. Jasmine Mclendon and other staff greeted me with warmth and professionalism, taking the time to answer all of my questions and walk me through the services they provide. The facility was bright, clean, and welcoming, with a calm, home-like atmosphere that immediately stood out. I noticed how engaged and caring the team was with the residents, which really reassured me about the level of attention and compassion given here. The therapy and activity spaces were well-equipped, and it was clear that residents have opportunities for both healing and meaningful engagement. Nice place ro rehab in. At the beginning i was a little resistant but the staff members on the rehab floor were reassuring. Kudos to the nurses George, Jerome, Yvonne and the rehab staff. Keep doing the good work
