WellNow Urgent Care

I reluctantly made an appointment for a cat bite,thinking it wasn’t a big deal! I saw Brittany Hamilton and she told me how dangerous cat bites can be! We were chatting as I was getting ready to go and she kept looking at my wound and said “I don’t feel good about you going home with antibiotics” and sent me straight to the ER. I did think to myself this is an over reaction of a cat bite. When I finally saw a Dr she was shocked that it had only been 12 hours since the bite because the infection was spreading rapidly into the rest of my hand! The bite actually nicked my tendon which was what was allowing the infection to spread. I underwent minor surgery and was in the hospital for 2 days with liquid antibiotics. Definitely come here if you want to spend 2-3 times more than any other urgent care facility. Also a great place to come if you love getting phonecalls about unpaid bills 6 months after your visit, despite paying hundreds of dollars the day of your appointment and NEVER receiving another statement in the mail or email. Super wonderful facility to get treated incredibly rudely upon check in or if you call them with any questions. I personally love getting cut off mid sentence when I'm trying to talk to someone. Came here once and will not be returning.

This review is on the Portage South Westnedge location; I cannot speak overall for this urgent care. I give it 2 stars because the receptionist was friendly. Otherwise, it would only be 1. The room that I had was dirty, and you could tell the table had not been wiped down from the previous patient. The nurse kept yawning and saying ever since lunch she was sooo tired. The male PA that I saw was quite condescending and literally tried joking and saying "suck it up". He then said he doesn't like to give prescriptions because big pharma already makes enough money. While he is entitled to his own opinion, it isn't professional to share it with me. I left just feeling dumb. I won't be back.

I’ve had some weird experiences with urgent care but had a great one here. I was in quickly and the staff had positive attitudes despite the blizzard outside. The doctor who helped me was very kind and patient and seemed happy to help me and answer my extra questions. I’ve had some experiences with urgent care offices and doctors where they seem to be in a hurry and don’t care and this was not that.

I am so grateful that urgent care exists!! Dr. Brittany Hamilton is amazing and the entire staff is so great. I have a primary care physician for my daughter, but wherever she is sick or we need an immediate check up this is where we go! We have used this location numerous times and have never been disappointed. Thank you all for your hard work and excellent bedside manner!
