America's Best Hearing

I went to America's Best Hearing to drive two sisters for hearing tests. I was teasing the doctor about whether they gave free screenings; of course, he said yes just make an appointment. I did that and I was amazed when I went for my appointment that I did have some hearing loss. However, it was not enough loss to get a hearing aid at the time so the doctor recommended I come back next year for a checkup, which I did; I still did not need hearing aids and came back the next year. I really appreciate the honesty of the doctor who did not recommend unnecessary hearing aids. The next year I went to be tested and I did need hearing aids. I was amazed how clearly I could hear with the hearing aids;whereas, before I was mistaking one word for another because they sounded similar and I cannot h

I took my mom to America's Best about a week ago. It was her first visit and she wasn't sold on the idea that she needed hearing aids, but the staff treated her with such care and kindness that it took the sting out of the whole situation. I didn't catch the name of the young woman at the counter (medium blond hair and glasses), but she was particularly helpful in making my mom comfortable. What an asset!

My mom has been going to Amelia at America‘s Best Hearing on Centre Ave in Portage for years and has always had a good experience. Her hearing loss, which likely occurred from an illness in childhood, was undiagnosed for years and Amelia understands the different types of hearing loss and has been able to adjust my mom’s hearing aids so that she can understand so much more than with general hearing aids. Everyone in the office is nice too. When one of her hearing aids was recently lost during a stay at rehab, the doctor visited my mom to create new moulds. We only have good things to say.

I was very impressed with my visit. Ms. Schuring listened carefully to mylist of hearing problems, explained the testing procedure, made me feel comfortable and, after examining the results reprogrammed my hearing aids. My hearing is greatly improved!

Amelia the tech is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I love the hearing aids she has recommended.
