I have been experiencing back pain on and off for about three months. I was referred to John Smelts by a client of his and decided to give him a try. John has been working out of his home since 1984. John had me fill out a medical history form and he then asked a lot of questions about my back pain issues. I was impressed by how patient and concerned he was regarding my chronic pain. He described how he incorporates energy healing into his massages and suggested several changes to my diet which I am going to try. John also offered insights into how I may be creating my own back pain because of my habits and lifestyle. I had an old injury to my shoulder and was referred to John Smelts by a client of his. I decided to have a total body massage to work on over all tension as well as the soreness in my left shoulder. Having body issues I didn't feel comfortable being naked for a massage however, John made me feel comfortable with his professional manner and I was able to receive a deep muscle massage even with my clothes on. John used several different massage techniques. I had undergone physical therapy for my shoulder injury years ago but my shoulder was never the same.
