Vestal Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center

Nick, at the front desk is always helpful and pleasant. Always a nice greeting and always respectful. The entry is decorated beautifully for the holidays.

The care at Vestal Park is incredible. This is the second time mom has been here within a year and each time she has been very lucky to have amazing care from the aids to the Nurses. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the food. Mom says it’s palatable 1/2 the time the other either cold or no taste. I challenge the owners to eat the meals with enthusiasm 🤭That being said, the aids are always more than happy to warm her food up when it’s cold. And her family supplements her favorite meals when we have time to bring her something homemade.

The facility is clean, the staff is on point in discussing the treatment of OT and PT . Admissions was clear on the process and everyone appears to be very welcoming. My mom said the food is salty. The plants and art work is very welcoming.

Staff was very friendly and willing to help when needed, as a visitor to the patient. Jaime and Antoinette were especially nice in the rehab wing.

when i visited this facility to see family that was residing there on the upper units i have noticed the LPN staff making jokes toward other staff members such as cna's about another nurse that might be employed with this company, these jokes, comments were made in front of this other cna and residents who would come up to the desk and ask questions about their care to the unit managers, this cna who would walk around the units and ask the residents if they had needed anything that cna rarely sat down at all and if they did need anything that cna went and got what they needed, i dont think it would be fair that the staff plays favoritism and takes disciplinary actions to the staff who actually work and do their jobs some staff might have lied about statements being made and the end result
