UR Medicine Primary Care – Highland Family Medicine

This doctors office has gone downhill fast. The Primary Care Physicians (at least most of the ones I have met here) have no issues treating those of us whom are on Medicaid like we are not worth the time. I have had it done to me on multiple occasions here. Literally had the covering assistant tell me their choice for medical procedures to help me. To then say they just need to run it by their supervisor. The supervisory doc comes in, First question to me, "What may I ask do you do for a living?".. my answer is, "I'm on disability. Why do you ask?" The covering Physician replied with the, "Oh!" With the look of "Your one of those living on disability." They change the plan to help fix my medical issue from getting the rightful medical scans and meds to... "Here are aome Tylenol, and follo

I was supposed to have a virtual follow-up visit this morning that was important, as I'm suffering from chronic insomnia. I was told this would be easier since it was just a follow-up. I had not done a virtual visit before. As of 7am I had not gotten a link or anything for the visit and messaged about it. I got no response. Nobody called me. Nobody messaged. Nobody e-mailed. After 9am I get a message about how I missed my appointment. No, I didn't miss the appointment. It was made incorrectly after I was talked into the virtual visit and then nobody monitored communications to see my message, well in advance, questioning the situation. Between this and getting passed from resident to resident without anyone reading a History or me EVER seeing my assigned PCP, thus making me explain everyth

We have the best PCP doctor ever here! She goes above and beyond to try to find solutions to our symptoms. Wait times are not usually long, and Medical assistants are friendly and helpful. If you have an urgent need, they have walk in hours every morning. Its great having the pharmacy and clinic together - my doctors can talk to the pharmacists for efficiency! For those complaining about lack of communication, use my Cart! Drs and nurses will get back to you, usually within 24 hours. A few issues, not related to the great medical care: not enough parking. Scheduling a non-urgent appt may be a month wait. If you have a need, dont call - use my Chart! Sometimes there may be a wait to see your doctor, but that is because they had an emergency to attend to. I am pleased with the me

Love that anyone, even UofR vehicles can just park wherever they want and literally BLOCK the parking lot driveway paths. All while security stands there and watches. Glad Trillium is right around the corner. Much better care and attention to detail from start to finish.

Staff was friendly, felt safe, not a long wait and the doctor listen. The appointment was great and informative
