Ulin Sargeant, MD MPH

I actually travel from the coast to see Dr. Sargeant, and I've loved her so much that I have continued to see her for a couple of years, despite having closer options. Reading through some of the reviews - yes, contacting them can be a bit challenging at times. Frequently, the best way to contact in an emergency is to schedule a telehealth call, which is always directly with the doctor. I've also had to chase after referral documentation a couple of times, but honestly, that's my only "issue," and I love everyone so much that I can/will deal with it. Dr. Sargeant, first of all, is incredibly sharp, not biased in her approach, and with an empathetic bedside manner. I’m a new patient and I’m already thinking about leaving. I had to take the time to drive to the office to get an appointment. I still couldn’t get a person there to help. I call numerous times. I couldn’t get a real person to talk to. I couldn’t get a call back. My health is more valuable then an office that feels like their patients is not. I looking for another family doctors.

I recently had an experience that raised concerns about the billing practices here. After receiving my test results, I was contacted for a follow-up call that I hadn’t requested. This brief call, merely to repeat information I already knew, was charged as a full appointment—a surprising and unwelcome addition to my bill. What’s more, during my visit, I never actually met the doctor, despite her being present in the office. It’s quite surprising to schedule an appointment with a physician and not see them in person.

Dr. Sargeant has been my mother-in-laws primary physician for several years now. We have been very pleased with the care provided and immediate attention to health issues that have come up through the years. Dr. Sargeant is respectful and patient.

I’m posting this review on behalf of my partner who I went with to support. We really thought Dr. Sargent was going to listen to my partners health concerns but we were met with a Doctor who did not listen to any of our concerns and ultimately physically hurt my partner while we tried to tell her that due to her unique conditions that she couldn’t perform the specific stretches she was asking her to do. When I voiced my concern (I was there to help) she would not so politely tell me to be quiet as she proceeded to exacerbate my partners condition. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone suffering from any rare conditions (especially EDS or POTS) as Dr Sargent does not listen to patient concerns.
