City of Hope Outpatient Imaging Center

Google or City of Hope needs to update the exact location. The outpatient Imaging Center is actually the bigger building behind where the marker is.

I saw my oncologist on Friday. Shortly thereafter Esteban called me to make the appointment for a PET scan on Sunday. He was efficient and very clear during our phone call. I also appreciated that he made sure I was ok with a regular IV since there aren't nurses available to access ports on weekend appointments. I loved the convenience of a weekend appt. Traffic was not an issue even with the rain and parking was easy. Eddie brought me in and did my blood sugar test, IV and infusion. He was friendly and professional. I felt comfortable and cared for. Then I was set up in a comfy chair with a warm blanket for a nap 😀 after which I had the PET scan. Relatively new (3-4 years?) facility, fully wheelchair accessible (parking, entrances, restrooms, imaging rooms). The staff are nice and thorough, procedures are relatively quick. Parking (Lot D) is free, but there's no shade.

The facility is not bad, the management is beyond bad. It takes foo...rr.... ee.....vv....rrrrr for the test report to show in the portal. For a hospital specialized in cancer, this is terrible. If you have anywhere else to go, do not go there. You don't need this kind of nightmare.
