The Commons on St. Anthony

Had to pick one star so we could write this review !!!! We do not recommend this place for your loved one…. They disrespected our mother and neglected our father during his stay . They failed to feed him and lied to us saying they did . He was left in dirty clothes spilt with food and lied about cleaning him . He was rushed to ER in auburn community a week or so later with low levels of sodium and was severally dehydrated which made him in a coma state . They told my mother in law she was not allowed to stay in room while cleaning and changing him and argued with her. Staff was very unprofessional and neglected the proper care of our father … We have recently lost him due too multiple health issues that started at this facility along with a stress induced heart attack !!!!!! We DO NOT REC

It seems like the only decent floor is the rehabilitation floor. My guess is they know those people are not going to be there permanently and they are the people that are gonna recommend it to friends and family. Long term residents are the ones who suffer. There are staff members who truly care about the residents unfortunately it seems like they are few and far between. People who are care giver that become jaded and no longer give a crap about the residents need to find another profession. I sat here and read every review and the only positive reviews were all from the rehabilitation floor, and I cried for the people who are on the other floors.

I have made a formal complaint through the department of health. The way I walked in on one of my clients is unacceptable. At 3pm this afternoon she was laying flat on the bed with her legs hanging over the side. As if she was trying to leave the bed but couldn’t do so. Meanwhile at 3pm she was still in her night gown and lunch was untouched. She has a heart condition, there was not a pitcher of water or a cup of water any where to be found. This is unacceptable. Her bed was completely soaked through and had been sat in all day. When I asked why she hasn’t eaten she said it was because she couldn’t reach her food. This is supposed to be a rehabilitation center and my client hasn’t even eaten today. When I pushed the call button it took 23 minutes for someone to come to her room. When they

My mom came here for physio rehabilitation after a fall and we have nothing but great things to say about the people here. They were super kind, and the physio therapists excellent. We feel so lucky to have chosen The Commons and are grateful for their support in getting my mom back up to speed!

The facility is beautiful. And I honestly loved it as a nurse BUT they have bedbugs traveling through the building and when you complain your contract is cut short. When ask if they would pay for an exterminator if it gets brought to my home I received no response. I have no issue with bedbugs but a deep clean will not work and not containing it is foolish. Trust me you do not want bedbugs in your home...over the counter chemicals no longer work and it requires an exterminator costing 1,000 of dollars and even then you may still lose everything you own. Be wise people...
