I recently switched to Sun City West Dental.I was very very impressed!!!!!! The whole staff was very friendly, welcoming and courteous. Dr.Achatz was very courteous, professional, attentive and spent a good amount of time explaining my X-rays and plan of treatment. His explanations were simple for anybody to understand. I am a retired ER nurse so I have less of a dental knowledge gap than the general population. Shawna, the dental hygienist, also very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Like many people, going to the dentist is always an anxiety producing activity that no one enjoys. Pardon the pun but “it’s like pulling teeth “. My wife and I are so impressed with the care we received at Sun City West Dental. I had my teeth cleaned—which was exceptional—and also had some cavities taken care of. Everything was done professionally, comfortably, and with great attention to detail. My wife had dentures made, and the entire process was handled with patience, care, and expertise. Her dentures fit beautifully and have made a big difference in her confidence and comfort. From the front desk to the dental team, everyone made us feel welcome and respected. The customer service here is truly outstanding. I recommend writing your questions in advance to make the most of that first visit. *Thoughtful advice: I appreciated the dentist’s input on treatment related to an old root canal. *Gentle care: The drilling for a small, gumline cavity was very gentle, with no need for pain medication. Negatives - Drop in communication during treatment: There was almost no explanation during the actual procedure. The dentist began drilling and filling without describing each step. - Concerns about skipped steps: The process was shockingly short from drilling to filling that it appeared to miss proper cleaning, disinfection, and drying before fillings. Dr Chad Achatz is gentle and very professional. Has exceptional knowledge with all types of treatments and has patience and a genuine caring nature. The staff, Holly at the front desk is so very kind and helpful! Evelyn the dental assistant is so sweet and gentle as is everyone I have met there so far. It Makes going to the dentist a pleasant experience.

I have had very bad experiences at dentist offices and this one put my mind at ease. They talked everything through with me and explained it so I could understand.
