Samuel L. Ashby, DO - Sun City West

I met Dr. Ashby in June 2025 ready to take a trip to Disneyland with my grandson with crippling knee pain. The x-rays did not define anything wrong so we did a steroid shot. I came back from my trip scheduled the MRI which found two tears in my meniscus and I was bone on bone on my left knee. Dr. Ashby recommended full knee replacement. We scheduled surgery and all corresponding appointments. Surgery took place on December 2, 2025 and as of today im at six weeks post surgery and doing great. My care was professional, caring, supportive. My recovery has been unbelievably pleasant. Every question and or concern answered and I would definitely return for any other issues. I met Dr. Samuel Ashby and his staff in September 2025. At which time Dr. Ashby had reviewed my medical history and also my MRI, He went over thoroughly all my options, Answered not only all of my questions, but my husband‘s questions as well and we decided to go ahead with a total knee replacement. He got the ball rolling very quickly got me scheduled for my procedure in November 2025 his staff helped me with all my preparation for the procedure , all the paperwork for my employer all in a very timely manner! After my procedure, his office would contact me to follow up on my recovery, to see how my physical therapy was going, and to check to see if there’s anything I needed. Each one of my follow up appointments with Dr. Ashby were genuinely pleasant and he always kept me on track. Would

5 STARS!!! I cannot recommend Dr. Ashby enough! After living with severe knee pain for years, I finally had a total knee replacement. Dr. Ashby was incredibly attentive and took the time to explain the entire procedure, which made me feel at ease. The surgery was a complete success, and my recovery was faster than I expected. I am now pain-free and back to all my normal activities. If you need a knee surgeon who truly cares, is compassionate and skilled, look no further.

Had a knee replacement on 12/8/25 performed by Dr. Samuel Ashby. His staff has been wonderful to work with. They are very friendly and helpful. I am 6 weeks post-op and am doing very well. Am Able to bend my knee to 122 degrees and have graduated from Physical Therapy this week. My goal was to start bowling again in 6 weeks and I accomplished my goal. I bowl 3 times a week, play bocce, pool walk/exercising, and ride a bicycle. Thank you Dr. Ashby for my new knee.

Dr. Ashby replaced my hip 7 weeks ago. Pain was minimal and I was walking distances within a week. He was available for questions and his staff was always helpful and encouraging. I highly recommend this surgeon and Banner Health if you need a hip replacement!
