St. Luke's Warren Hills Family Practice

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Paterno. My appointment was completely useless. She couldn't even advise me on whether to see a hematologist or a vascular surgeon. I felt like I was just wasting time, as if I were on a casual coffee date rather than receiving medical care. Additionally, I was made to wait for almost an hour and a half, despite having checked in 15 minutes before my official appointment time. I will never return to this doctor or any provider associated with St. Luke's Hospital. This and other experiences with this chain have truly made me question their reputation as a hospital.

Doctor and staff were good, eh. When getting looked at they mentioned I needed to get X-Rays of which I thought would be covered under my health care plan. They were not. Nobody whatsoever told me that they might not be covered by my plan. $657.00 later I was pissed. Called insurance company they said price would have been $125.00 if I went to a place where insurance would have covered it. Deceptive bunch of people at this place!!!!!! Will never go there again...only to get those x-rays and bring them to another health care provider. Shame on this place!!!!

Dr. Sabates and her staff are wonderful. I normally go to Washington office but they squeezed me into Belvidere office. I got lost and Cindy you office helped me over the phone and was so compassionate. Then Dr.Sabtes who is wonderful always saw me on her lunch. Sorry I didn't get nurses name or receptionist name but they also were suppose to be on lunch.

A small clinic with very friendly and professional people. Facility is clean and comfortable. I was in to see Dr. Sabates, she is very knowledgeable and professional with a personality that makes you feel at ease. She is also very thorough and diligent, luckily for me! She found a problem that another had missed in only a few minutes which literally saved my life ! Finding a doctor that really cares about you as a person and has this level of professionalism is next to impossible.

I am writing this review in order to let everyone know that my doctor Dr.Sabates is someone I could not do without. She is the most dedicated doctor a patient could have or ask for. Great personality and easy to interact with. Her ability to diagnose patients is amazing. Now this is a doctor that will work tiredlessly to find what the issues are and go forward from there. This is not a nine to five doctor. Thank goodness I found her!
