Sprenger Health Care Bluffton

My father spent the last weeks of his life here under Hospice care. Hygiene was a huge factor for us as it was an ongoing problem in his prior facility. At Sprenger, however, my dad, his bedding, and his room in general were always clean when we visited. They took care of showering and shaving, combing his hair, and clipping his nails. The staff was caring and attentive. The only negative that comes to mind lies with communication. We did not live locally and could only make the trip a few days a week, so to never be able to get through to the appropriate representative or get a call back, despite leaving messages, was concerning.

I recently toured the assisted living community at Sprenger Bluffton, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Teia was absolutely fantastic. She was well-versed in every aspect of their services and made sure all my questions were answered. The community felt inviting, well-maintained, and full of life. I left with a great impression and a real sense of peace knowing how caring and dedicated the staff are.

My mother stayed at sprenger and it was awful. My mother would lay in her urine and feces until I got there to change her, Also the staff would give her food she wasn't supposed to have..The night before my mom left out on the nursing home Ems had to come get my mom because my mom was sick because of incorrect care. My mom was throwing up dark brown stuff and the nurse was arguing with me trying to say my mom had not been throwing up and I know my mom was throwing up because I dumped the throw up in the toilet out of a bucket..The nurse in charge told the Ems that there was nothing wrong with my mom and they knew better..Ems took my mother to the Hardeeville hospital and the doctor came in and said my mom was dying and she was..My mom died March 1st of 2025..Before the nursing home my mom

My husband was just admitted today for rehab. He cannot put weight on his right leg. I am far from impressed. I had to call twice... nobody answered... to ask questions. We are supposed to sign-in for safety. The woman manning the second entrance desk... told me I didn't need to sign in. Huh? My husband asked for body wipes and tab-style single use briefs. Brcause he has a large hip brace. We were told the permanent residents get those and there isn't enough for temporary rehab patients. They told me to go buy them to "Help them out." OMG! Medications are "coming", no idea when. Dinner was near inedible... dry cold rice, cold shrimp and cold creamed spinach... doesn't that sound yummy... NOT! No sauce, no butter for the roll... drinks are in tiny little styrofoam cups... This is terrible.

I really enjoyed the veterans events! Teia and Candace were amazing! They really took the time to make the veterans feel appreciated! I am really glad I attended and will go back next year!
