Dr. Liang deserves 10 stars!! She recently diagnosed my dad with mesothelioma and performed a complete pleurectomy/decortication with pericardial and diaphragm resection and therapeutic wedge on him in January and the surgery went better than anyone expected. He was up and walking in the ICU the next morning! Prior to surgery she took the time to fully explain EVERYTHING from risks and benefits to recent research and everything in between and not once did the appt ever feel rushed. She goes above and beyond for her patients and their families and her passion for what she does truly shows. As a former OR nurse I have been in surgeries with her and have seen her technical expertise with my own eyes. It is beyond rare to find a surgeon with both technical precision and an amazing bedside mann

I had a partial esophagectomy in 2021 due to esophageal cancer. Dr. Liang was my surgeon. To say that she and her team saved my life is an understatement. I can't think of a better doctor. Both skilled surgically and genuinely caring for her patients. Due to complications I was in the hospital for 2 months. In the middle of my stay I contracted an infection. Dr Liang was away for the weekend in New York City visiting a family member she hadn't seen for 6 years she wasn't due to return to Rochester until monday. Dr.Liang is the Best ! She treated me for esophageal cancer and saved my life ! Took the time to explain the sugery in great detail and instilled great confidence that i would make it though to the other side of a very long sugery. I was truly blessed to have her as my surgeon.

Dr Laing is an excellent surgeon. She recently performed DeVinci surgery on my boyfriends’ lung and got it all. Explained the procedure in layman’s terms so we had a good understanding Of how it was performed and what to expect after. A very pleasant woman. Her office staff is very efficient and the nurses on 4400 are top notch. Only negative I observered was that she is usually a bit hurried. Am sure she is a busy woman .
