San Antonio Military Medical Center

Medical staff is rather rude and unhelpful. They would rather push you out the door and tell you that your pain is “made up” rather than actually treat a patient; despite medical imaging proof of injuries. Pretty typical of socialized military healthcare—to the detriment of our armed servicewomen and servicemen. Sad. Also, be careful of the security forces (cops) at this location. Not only are they unprofessional and lack sufficient maturity to behave like adults, but apparently they haven’t been trained on how to properly direct traffic either. If your arriving in the early morning, be prepared to get yelled at for not following unclear and improperly signaled directions. Wave forward means stop, got it, I guess?

Went in for severe headache related to neck pain/muscle spasms and sat for 3 hours. People getting called back left and right for flu, cold, and bronchitis ahead of me. I decided it wasn’t worth the wait. I’d be better off waiting for my VA PCM, which isn’t any better. All I can say is ridiculous!
