BAMC Visitor Center

While visiting a loved one in a hospital can be a stressful experience, depending upon the circumstances. I needed to get on base today and to visit a loved one that was at BAMC, and had been there for a few days. I was able to negotiate the process to get on base, find parking, which can be difficult, and what was going to be difficult was finding the room that my loved one was in. Luckily, BAMC has a few information centers / booths strategically placed throughout the hospital to help visitors easily find what location that they're looking for. I can't stress how much these information centers are helpful, and I'm thankful for the people that staff them. I hope that if you need to visit BAMC, that your experience is as good as mine, and that your outcome is also positive. Good luck.

Excellent facility for emergencies with Level 1 trauma care. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Ms. Davis, sweetest ever!! Went for a pass and she helped me out. Made the process easier for me. Nothing is too complicated if you come prepared. Quick and easy.

Hope you have a lot of extra time. The process to get a visitor pass is terrible. They only have 4 windows and they are covered so you can't even see who is helping you get the pass. They're are long moments of silence and you have no idea what is happening. There has got to be a better way. Keep the glass but make it clear. Lose the speaker system. I know in this time of people doing stupid things that some security is needed, but there is no need to have to go throught that much trou ble just to see a loved one in the hospital hospital.

I have only been to the outpatient center a few times, but I like the fact that they have a little Cafe and a few private bathrooms. There is plenty of parking.
