Safeway Pharmacy

Initially, I had no issues. I only transferred my prescriptions here because Fred Meyer stopped accepting my insurance. My doctor's office has already faxed my prescription to this pharmacy, but they claim to have never received it. It's possible that their fax machine is having problems, or they need to update their fax number. This situation is frustrating since I'm trying to get my medication, and they keep saying they haven't received it. Furthermore, they never answer the phone, so calling them is pointless.

This is the only pharmacy in Juneau that takes my insurance, but they won’t answer my calls, or the calls from the doctors office, that was trying to call in a prescription. How do they do business when they never answer the phone for two days straight. Now I’ll just have to pay out of pocket for hundreds of dollars for prescriptions. Thanks Safeway for taking terrible care of your customers.

The pharmacist told me they didn't receive my prescription from the doctor because their electronic FAX hadn't worked for over a week. Then she said I needed to call my doctor and tell them that their fax hasn't worked for over a week.

Terrible pharmacy. Posted store hours mean absolutely nothing. Showed up at 6:56 PM and was stopped by an employee from getting in line, who then argued with me that I was too late for their 7:00 PM closing time. After several failed attempts to get my prescription due to them being closed at random times. Absolutely ridiculous.

Worst pharmacy I’ve ever used. How do you justify a patient AND a doctors office trying to get ahold of you all day and getting no answer or call back? Having to send a script 7-8 times before it’s even looked at? Better off getting meds elsewhere.
