This place is horrible to its patients. Food is always cold, staff could care less what patient needs. Always to busy, understaffed. My family member has had teeth stolen, dental medication stolen. Pushed into the bed rail while being rolled over by staff and has an eye injury from hitting the rail with her head. This person was fired due to many complaints. No one cares when you ask for anything. So easy to see staff hates their jobs and takes it out on patients. Made several complaints which results in worse treatment to the patient. Only good thing to say is that the physical therapist are good. The also see what is going on and have given advice on who to contact but they just give answers you want to hear with no action. First, let me say that the Physical and Occupational Therapy program is outstanding. My mother made great progress with their guidance and support. We are grateful to them all. In contrast, the nursing care is substandard. The facility is significantly understaffed, communication is non-existent or conflicting, and there is a lack of consistency with the level of care. Frequently, calls for assistance went unanswered for 45 minutes or more, causing my mother discomfort as she was often unable to get to the restroom in time. The lack of organization and coordination of the staff also left her unprepared for her scheduled PT/OT sessions. This would delay and shorten her badly needed therapy. This facility does not have the appropriate staff. Many staff members have stated that they had no idea of the specific care needed for my mother. The aides stand out in the hall socializing as patients need assistance. They leave the elderly in their rooms to go to the bathroom in their chairs because they don’t have time to help them. My family member asked for allowed pain medicine several times and didn’t get it. A bad infection was not addressed by the staff after several reminders and a phone call to the facility supervisor. Finally another family member made a nighttime visit to address the critical medical issue and perform the facilities nursing job function. Beware if you have a loved one in this unit. Make sure u know what’s going on at all times and keep a pulse on their requir
