RRH Family Medicine - RIT

First visit could have gone better. Of course I did not get the medication I've been prescribed for years saying they don't prescribe it there, umm yes you do you just don't want ro deal with the extra paperwork. They try to make you feel bad by saying "I could lose my license" not if there is a medical need fir that medication???Also, immediately felt uncomfortable and rushed because the doctor said we could only talk about 1 thing2 today because of "time constraints". So now I have to make 7 separate appointments for my 7 different medical issues, just for a doctor to tell me they cant (wont) do anything and send me to another doctor? Idk about them, but I don't have that much time off of work. Front desk staff were great, they gave me all the information I need and were very friendly. T

I thought about switching last year but when they got a new doctor in office I held out hope. Since I worked at RIT I was recommended to go to this doctor but doctor is a strong word. You don't ever actually meet with the doctor; if you are lucky the nurse practitioner is available and she is the only professional person on staff (both in manners and skills). Even something as simple as vaccines they'll refer you out to offices and won't bother to book appointments for you. So you end up spending time on the phone coordinating between three different systems and being on hold. I was just in a car accident so having to do extra work to coordinate individual follow up appointments on top of the doctor appointments is frustrating (and costly). I’ve been going here for a few years, for a while it was hard to get an appointment but now that they have hired more staff that has gotten much better. The NP Hala has been very helpful and takes the time to go over everything. I also found Dr. Haque very kind and took the time to listen to me during my last appointment. Anita at the front desk is always friendly too.

Incredibly poor customer service. The front desk staff repeatedly acted as if they were making medical and administrative decisions, which is completely inappropriate. Despite multiple requests for a call from the office manager, no one ever followed up. This level of disregard for patients is unacceptable, and I cannot recommend this office to anyone.

The staff here including Dr. Wilcox are the most uncaring I have ever experienced at a practice. I had a large abcess that they wanted me to wait over a week to see them and do a video call for. A VIDEO CALL. Dr. Wilcox was also almost never available so I would see a PA but I should count my blessings. I only saw him twice and neither time was he helpful. My nails were lifting from the nail bed and it was a long term issue and without any sort of testing he says "this might just be how your nails are" and he wanted to end the call. He absolutely did not care at all. I stopped calling them and would just go to urgent care when sick or needing something to just avoid them. I could go on but I'll stop here. I'm so thrilled that I am transferring from this practice.
