Dr. Rafat attempted to sell me a crown procedure that was ultimately determined to be unnecessary. When I expressed concern, based on my past experience of having received four unnecessary fillings from previous dentists, he became personally offended rather than addressing the issue clinically. My previous dentist failed to provide X-rays demonstrating medical necessity for my previous fillings. Instead, he stated that he was “on the board” and implied that pursuing a complaint against Dr. Mo at Timonium Family Dentistry would be futile. After declining the procedure, the office repeatedly contacted me asking if I still wanted the crown, despite my clear decision. Dr. Rafat is an excellent dentist, but our experience with the billing department has been very disappointing. On multiple occasions, they charged the insurance but failed to send me the reimbursement checks. Unfortunately, this has caused me to lose trust in the office, as they do not seem to operate with honesty and transparency.

Dr Rafat is the BEST dentist I have known in Baltimore area , he is a grade A professional at his craft. I Went into his office and was greeted by a very friendly staff and felt comfortable through the entire process. but because I had such an excellent experience with him I have always reffered my friends . His quality of work is superb!!! and that is what Dr. Rafat is. I look forward to my next appointment!

The care I received from Dr. Rafat is simply the best any patient can ask for. Everyone is extremely friendly, on schedule, professional and knowledgeable. He always explain what needs to be done and works quickly, precisely and painlessly. My tooth broke on one Sunday night I called Dr. Rafat and he saw me on Monday in between his patients and took care of me on such short notice. Dr. Rafat is so welcoming and friendly. He answers questions immediately and treats every patient like family. He did some periodontal work for me and it couldn't have gone smoother. He helped with pain management and was there every step for every outrageous question I had. Last year I was having some severe tooth pain.
