Dr. Mercado is hands down the best podiatrist in South Florida. He did surgery on both of my feet and has guided me through the healing process over the last few months. He is very detailed orientated, truly a specialist and very knowledgeable & professional. I highly recommend him and his very friendly staff!

Professional, great communication, trustworthy. I have struggled with ingrown nail issues for many years, the first day I went to Dr. Mercado's office I was not only greeted by the friendly staff but I was quickly seen and Dr. Mercado operated on my toes the same day (which is not usual practice but he saw how much discomfort I was experiencing). Since then I have had several follow ups with Dr. Mercado and must say that it is a pleasure every time. Not only do I feel completely welcomed in his office but I feel comfortable and I trust him fully to provide the level of care I expect, based not only on his knowledge and experience but also what I have experienced with him thus far. Dr. Richard Mercado is literally one of the best Doctors in his field. His pleasant demeanor and caring bedside manner has made him a respected and much sought after Dr. In podiatry. I've never known a Doctor to be so personable who actually takes the time to listen to your cares and concerns and also makes himself available to you 24/7 to ensure you cared for. Through his expertise and care. He helped to heal my chronic wound I had for over several yrs. When other Doctors gave up he didn't. I have him and his team of nurses at the FMC Wound care clinic to thank for helping me heal and giving me a new lease on life.I highly recommend Dr. Mercado he is truly in a league of his own.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mercado since 2004, which is approximately 18 years. Dr. Mercado's practice was located in Westchester at that time, as he is now located in Sunrise. Dr. Mercado is an excellent podiatrist!!! He is very thorough in his examinations and always explains to you the root of the problem and then solves it. Dr. Mercado will take great care of your feet, and will make you insoles which make you feel like you are walking on clouds! I highly recommend him as he is an excellent 5 star physician.
