We normally see Melissa for routine follow up’s and sick visits, and she always does a great job of taking her time with us and answering all of our questions. I recently had the pleasure of taking my son to see Dr Johnston one day when NP Melissa was out and we were having some pretty concerning symptoms and abnormal blood work in my 2 year old. After an incredibly thorough assessment of my son, she referred us out to a specialist. Throughout all the follow up’s with the specialist, Dr Johnston would text me personally to check in on me and my son. I recently moved to the area and chose Redbird Pediatrics because of the high reviews, and I wasn't disappointed! The woman at the front desk was personable and thorough while checking us in and getting all information she needed. The office was clean and smelled good. After going back to the room, the nurse came in and got started, and she was friendly. While I thought it was weird that the scale was out in a different area, the fact that it was quick and digital rather than the archaic sliding scales made up for it. I waited a little bit for Dr. Johnston to come into the room, but I quickly learned why. She doesn't rush nor make you feel like you're just a paycheck to her. I was in office today and seen nurse practitioner Melissa for my sons well check this was our first time meeting her I believe and I just want to brag on how amazing she really is, she’s very very very sweet, very personable, her bedside manner is off the charts, she was very polite and addressed all of my questions/concerns with such grace. She was very informative and great with my son, she even got a few big smiles and giggles from him today before leaving the room. It’s amazing to see such a great team at Redbird pediatrics and I just had to brag on how great of a team they really are and how great of an experience we had today with Melissa.
