Publix Pharmacy at The Promenade

With much disappointment i must share my experience. A cake was ordered and it was not up to par. I have never had this problem before but the cake was not presentation ready it was rush rush...the only resolution offered was we can remake and deliever thats not a resolution thats a delay. I explained i have people waiting on cake its a Sunday and I had ZERO faith on their word to deliever. I explained to the manager terrie that if I would be compensated with a discount and he refused. So I paid for the cake and delt with the presentation given and the experience. I KNOW if the cake was for the CEO or Company employee I can guarantee you priority was going to be performed but im just another everyday faithful customer right. This Publix feels more like a Walmart. The customer service is poor and the store seems very understaffed. Peak shopping hours, there are three managers talking at the front of store while customer wait in lines and cashiers struggle. Deli and hot food are never staffed enough, one or two people handling lines of 10 people, always have to wait 20-40 minutes for a sub or deli meat. Seafood counter is even worse; only even one person working the seafood counter and it always someone who is quiet, slow and lacks people skills. Publix used to emphasize quality customer service in every department but this just seems like there are people who don’t want to work in customer service/back-of-house people forced into roles without training or understanding of how a real Publix is run.

Pharmacy at Publix is excellent. Staff are pleasant and responsive.

Usually Publix is somewhat nice to shop at and the subs are great. But just had one of the worst experiences I have ever had at the Publix and it was with the deli Manager. I placed an order online for a chicken tenders sub then waited in line. As I or we were waiting for one employee working and 5 in the background along with the manager. After the only one working throws his hands up screaming for help the deli Manager comes. The manager mumbles something? Then looks at me and says I said next person in line hateful ly. I state the I ordered online. He says rudely you need to look over there. I have never been treated or spoken to like this at Publix. This is something I would expect from Hellmart.

Never enough check out lanes open and tonight there were no express lanes 😡 People including myself with just a few items waiting behind people with a cartful in ridiculous. I'm so thrilled to be moving just so I can shop at a better Publix. This is the worst one by far. I gave 2 stars bc the deli people are pretty good, although slow, and inventory is usually stocked, but checkout needs to be much smoother.
